Hello from Atlanta.
Down here on business for an overnight trip. Staying with my parents. I haven't seen them since November so it's good to be here. But I do miss my family. I know it's hard on my wife to manage both boys who really feed off of each other.
Report in from home says that Reece had a bit of a difficult day today. My wife took him to WalMart where he was far less than cooperative. Reece also has ADHD which is a nasty combination with Down Syndrome. He has his good days and then...other days. He likes to be active and to have free reign. Can't blame him really. Don't we all?
Grocery stores can be noisy and his ears are super sensitive because of whatever that "thing" is in his right ear. Poor little man.

ReplyDeleteI'm just a DAD. My daughter is 36. I've been a participative parent for all those years. I got her into gymnastics at 5 and was her coach leading up to SO World Games in 1995 where she got a medal in all-round. She's my ski buddy and we went to Nationals in 1994.
Life gets better with the years. Tonight I had a phone message that she's cashed a check for $33 for a social event tomorrow night. It's over budget, but OK.
Your chils be different, but every bit as good as mine in her/his own way.

Hi! I'm writing for my husband, he doesn't get on here much but I'm sure he'd like contact with other fathers, so I'll have him read your blog. We are 22 years old, and have a son with Down Syndrome and my rare skin disorder. TJ will be a year on FRIDAY! (tomorrow)... He's our miracle baby and we are expecting baby boy #2 at christmas, due Dec 25th. Prenatal testing showed no chromosome issues and we are waiting to see if he has the skin disorder.
